Firm Partner, Katie Anderson, and Associate Shelby Taylor were “Hoopin’ It up in Housing” at the Annual Conference of the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (TXNAHRO), where they presented this week on the “Top Ten Things You Should Know About Employment Law”. They covered everything from the importance of job descriptions and what DEI programs are lawful to FLSA requirements for documenting overtime and the new laws for pregnant employees.

Housing authority leaders from around the state participated, sharing their war stories, and asking the tricky (but so important!) questions. Katie and Shelby are thankful for this opportunity to talk about an area they love for those working to provide safe, affordable housing across the state.
